GPS Track Editor

The GPS Track editor application for Microsoft’s Windows operating system performs a specialized task – as its name points out, it lets you edit GPS tracks. If you have a .GPX file, for example, and you load it into this user friendly application, you will be able to view the trajectory, extract parts of the track, make a clear structure of track segments, clean up your GPS tracks, inspect track points, and so on.

The application’s interface is fairly simple to figure out: the pane in the middle presents the track you loaded, while the panes on the sides display more info on said track. In the upper left hand side there’s a traditional File Menu and a few buttons for functions GPS Track can perform.

As mentioned above, you can use this application to edit GPS tracks. Once you load a GPS track into the application, you can inspect track points, extract parts of the track, change the color for the track’s segments, filter points on the track, restructure the track, and merge several tracks. You can do it all without having to part with your hard earned money – or to put it in other words, the application is freeware.
